You should not do this yourself. Not because we want the work, but because being the person who does it leaves a mark that is very hard to undo.

What Suicide Cleanup Actually Involves at the Property
We describe this plainly rather than clinically, so you know what you are authorizing without having to picture it.
The affected area is isolated so nothing moves into other rooms. Materials that have absorbed biological material, typically carpet, padding, subfloor sections or drywall, are removed and disposed of through licensed regulated medical waste channels. Every remaining surface is disinfected with hospital-grade products applied for their full contact time. Odor is treated at the source. We test to verify before we consider it done.
Then we rebuild: subfloor, flooring, drywall, trim, paint. The point is not a clean room. It is a room a family can walk into without being confronted with what happened.

Do we have to be there while you work?
No, and we would generally encourage you not to be. We can work from a key, a lockbox or a neighbor and update you by phone. You do not have to see the room again.
Will anyone be able to tell what happened?
Not from us and not from the property. We display no signage, we keep our presence on the street as brief and low-key as possible, and our technicians do not speak to neighbors or press. When the work is finished, including reconstruction, the room looks ordinary.
Is there anything we should do before you arrive?
Stay out of the affected room and keep children and pets away. Do not attempt to clean anything. Do not remove or discard belongings, since we can often save more than families expect. If odor is moving through the house, turn the HVAC off.
What happens to their belongings?
We treat them as belongings, not debris. Before anything is removed we ask what matters to you and prioritize recovering and cleaning those items. Anything that must be discarded is documented.
Will homeowners insurance cover the cleanup?
Many policies provide coverage for biohazard remediation, but it depends on the policy and circumstances. We provide complete documentation to support a claim. Only your carrier can confirm coverage.
Can you handle this if it happened in a rental?
Yes, and we handle it frequently. Authorization and payment generally sit with the owner or management company rather than the tenant's family. We coordinate directly with the landlord so the family is not left negotiating.
